Privacy Policy

Effective May 24, 2026

Eric Clymer, an individual doing business as Send Remy ("Send Remy," "Remy," "we," "our," or "us") operates an invite-only, AI-powered dating and social matching service (the "Service") in which a personal AI agent ("your Remy") learns about you and converses with other members' agents on your behalf. Dating and social-matching services involve some of the most sensitive personal data a person shares online. This Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. By using Remy you agree to this Policy.

Remy is intended for adults 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

1. Information we collect

Account & identity data: your name, email address (via Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or — for App Review demo credentials — email/password), age (we collect the integer, not your date of birth; the database refuses to onboard anyone under 18), gender (self-identified), who you're looking to meet, city, invite code if you signed up through one, and the version of our Terms you accepted.

Profile & preference data: photos you upload, your voice-intro transcript (the audio stays on-device — only the transcribed text is sent), your onboarding interview answers, and your persona (intent label, qualifier, values, and dealbreakers) generated from those answers. Some of this — including data that, in combination, may imply sexual orientation — is treated as sensitive personal information under laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, and CPRA, and we process it only with your explicit consent for the purpose of providing matchmaking.

Agent conversation data: the transcript of the onboarding interview between you and your Remy, the transcripts between your Remy and other members' Remys on your behalf, and any free-form agent notes you write to guide your Remy.

Match & messaging data: matches we surface, the debriefs Remy writes for you, your accept / pass / extend / unmatch decisions, and the human-to-human messages you send other members after you match.

Device & usage data: IP address (logged by our hosting provider), APNs device token (to deliver push notifications), app version, OS version, a coarse kilometre-scale latitude/longitude coordinate you opt into for distance-based discovery (never a precise GPS fix), and feature-usage events. Crash logs reach us only if you've opted in to share anonymized crash data with developers at the iOS level.

Safety data: reports you file against other users, blocks you create, and signals from our automated content-moderation classifier.

Payment data (when you purchase): payments are processed by Apple via in-app purchase. We receive a signed transaction record from Apple containing the product purchased, the transaction ID, and (for subscriptions) the expiration date. We never receive your card number, name, billing address, or any other payment-instrument detail.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Operate the Service and build, refine, and run your Remy.
  • Match you with members whose Remys produced a compatible conversation, and generate the debrief you read.
  • Verify your age and enforce our Terms and community standards.
  • Keep the Service safe — including investigating reports, detecting harassment, abuse, content involving minors, doxxing, and other prohibited behavior.
  • Communicate with you about your account, your matches, and product updates.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your sensitive personal information, agent conversations, or private messages to serve you third-party advertising.

3. AI processing and model training

Your Remy is powered by Anthropic's Claude large language models, accessed via Anthropic's API. To deliver matchmaking we send relevant parts of your profile, your persona, and the in-flight agent conversation to Anthropic. Anthropic acts as our processor under contractual confidentiality and data-protection terms; under Anthropic's API policy, customer API data is not used to train Anthropic's foundation models.

We may use de-identified or aggregated data to evaluate and improve Remy's own matching quality and safety systems. You can opt out of any internal model-improvement use by emailing contact@sendremy.com.

Important match decisions (surfacing a match, ranking) are not solely automated for legal-effect purposes — you always choose whether to accept, pass, or extend. Any materially adverse account action (suspension or ban) is reviewed by a human before it takes effect.

4. What other members see

Other members do not see your raw onboarding answers, the transcript of your interview with your Remy, your contact info, your precise location, or your stored age value.

They see the profile fields you've published — photos, first name, age in years, city, and your persona stanza (intent, values, dealbreakers) — and, only after both Remys produce a match, a curated debrief written for the other side.

Once you accept a match, you and the other member can message directly. Those messages are visible to both of you and are processed by our content-moderation classifier for safety review before they are delivered.

5. How we share information

We share personal data only with the following categories of recipients:

  • Other members, limited to what is described in Section 4.
  • Subprocessors that operate our infrastructure, each bound by written agreements limiting their use of your data to providing the service to us:
    • Supabase Inc. — database, authentication, file storage, and edge function hosting (hosted in the United States).
    • Anthropic, PBC — the Claude LLM API used for the AI agents, debriefs, and content moderation.
    • Apple Inc. — Sign in with Apple authentication, APNs push notification delivery, and App Store in-app purchase processing.
    • Google LLC — Sign in with Google authentication.
  • Safety partners and law enforcement where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect someone's life or safety, investigate fraud, or enforce our Terms.
  • Corporate transactions — if Remy is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under the CPRA.

6. Data retention

  • Active accounts: we retain your data while your account is active.
  • Inactive accounts: we may delete or anonymize profile content after 24 months of inactivity.
  • Deleted accounts: when you delete your account from inside the app (Profile → ⚙︎ → Account → Delete Account), we immediately purge your photos from storage and delete your authentication record, which cascades through profiles, agent conversations, agent messages, matches, chat messages, and reports. A minimal record may be retained where retention is required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or safety reasons (for example, records of policy-violating behavior or bans).
  • Chat messages between matched users: retained while the match exists and either side has an active account. When either side deletes their account, their copy of the chat is cascaded out.

7. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, least-privilege access controls, Row Level Security on every database table, audit logging, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the appropriate regulators as required by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CPRA, and similar laws), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Port your data to another service.
  • Withdraw consent to processing of sensitive data (this may mean we can no longer match you).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, including any profiling.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Profile → ⚙︎ → Account → Delete Account). For access, correction, portability, or any other rights request, please email contact@sendremy.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (typically 30–45 days).

9. International transfers

Remy is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

10. Children

Remy is strictly for users 18 and older. Our database enforces this with a CHECK constraint that refuses to mark onboarding complete for any profile with an age value under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we will terminate any account we discover belongs to a minor.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.

12. Contact

Questions, requests, or complaints about privacy can be sent to contact@sendremy.com. For users in the EU/UK, you also have the right to contact your local supervisory authority.
